Program Description: Queerness isn’t one fixed coming-out story. Queerness slips ‘n slides across gender, sexuality, desire, practice, time, and culture, rocking our concepts of home and family, pride and shame, adulthood and “stages of life.” Queerness is some serious play. And serious play can require some agile moves, strategic time-outs, or those second, third, fourth lives just to survive. From the queering of 1960s Iranian cinema to a gay video game, this Year-of-the-Snake Queer Shorts program is inspired by new starts across generations of LGBTI folk. Come celebrate everything beautiful, strange, and renewing about being and becoming queer within varied landscapes - at every game level of life.
